Corel DESIGNER Technical Suite 12

The latest version of the company’s technical graphics software for Windows is geared to professional illustrators working in the manufacturing, automotive, aerospace, defense, landscaping and apparel industries.

Technical Suite 12 includes Corel DESIGNER 12 for technical illustration and layout, Corel PHOTO-PAINT 12 for image editing, CorelTRACE 12 for converting bitmap images and scanned paper documents into vector graphics, and Corel CAPTURE 12 for creating screen captures. Also included are libraries containing more than 4000 manufacturing, electrical and architectural symbols.

According to Nick Davies, Corel’s General Manager for Graphics, “Every new feature added to Corel DESIGNER Technical Suite 12 was engineered with the needs of technical illustrators and their specific workflow in mind." The suite supports more than 75 file formats including AutoCAD 2004, Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG), Adobe Illustrator, PDF, CorelDRAW and TIFF. New and enhanced features including a projected drawing mode, dynamic guides, gravity and the ability to add object data-hot spotting.
