Well me and one mine partner Roman are openning a photo studio office. We analized the market and got some connections to make our bussiness rise from nothing to big incomes.
But as always there some BUTS :)
First we need to buy 2 PC's. Well since the room will be devided in 2 parts the client center and the photo studio itself i want to know what to buy ? It is clear that for working with a client all you need is a simple desktop PC that takes much space ( you need to fill it up with something dont cha ? :) ) .
But here comes the problem about what PC to choose for a laboratory ? It is more then clear it should be a notebook :) But which one ? I guess it shouldnt be so powerful to put some photos from digital camera on it . . So if you know any notebook that looks neat and costs little please tell me the model and i check it out :)
Looking forward from you guys.
P.S. Dont propose the mac's cause i dont like their little notebooks and emac or imac are not notebooks so they pass the way :)
If you're interested in buying a notebook i recommend checking out www.acer.com they have some good specs for low prices.
If i was you, i'd go for the Acer Ferrari 3200 - but thats just because i support F1 ;)
Goodluck with your business!
You know i'd say mac. but since you dont want then..
I like BOXX...
"BOXX is a leading edge manufacturer of high-performance, high-bandwidth Windows
& Linux based solutions for the the digital content creation market."

;)
Or alienware ;)
Hmmm, it also depends on how much you'll be moving the damn thing... max mobility and portability, then it's IBM, and that simply can't be argued, they're the best at that.
Max performance, you'll have to go with the lesser known manufacturers... Znote should be good...
Macs got pretty good performance, and they're also very portable but very very expensive, and BOXX are really heavy, and to the price.... :S
alienware... too much spent on nice gfx-cards not enough on ram. :P
Good for gaming.
Well guys i dont need a hig perfomance notebook ! :) I need a neat , stylish and small one :) I turned to HP/Compaq nx9020 or possibly a RoverBook ( www.roverbook.ru)
Like i said before, Acer Ferrari is the choice to go for.
