Ok you who had a chance to talk with Bio on MSn or any other chating programm more than 1 mounth can understand he is really a stubborn guy. Also he thinks he is a genious of design and knows everything.
This was the intro now the main topic. Me and Bio been chatting about soem plans andi showed him soem works of a guy i am planning to work with in illustrations business. I asked a Bio to check them out and he laughted saying this were no way illustrations and that i dont know a sh*t.
Now the interesting part. Here are the illustrations from number one designer in Russia(Lebedev), who been working since 1995 and already has a biggest studio here in our Country. They work for best companies including samsung, renault, AlfaBank and many others..
So concerning to Lebedev these are the illustrations :
Concerning to Bio these are no way illustrations and that they are called digital paiting.

i want other people to say what they think of this f*cked up incident? Who right who not. Well anyway i dont expect any points to my side since some still hate me, so lets see how this funny game will develop.
Ok lets clear up the situation here. You're looking for an "illustrator" guy to employ. When u showed me this guy's work this is NOT VECTOR! Illustrator is a VECOTR application. Understand? That was my point. No point is going over the top and saying im the best or anything like that, thats just propaganda here RedD! :?
This guy does digital paintings, possibly using a combination of PS and Painter. Maybe images can make u understand this:

p.s. the artwork u posted above is digital paintings, not illustrator. theres a difference between Adobe Illustrator and "illustration". :idea:
LOL i will send an e-mail to the creators of those so called "digital paintings" and say " You know you got 5 000 $ not for an illustration, you and your client both confused, cause Mr. Bio Alien who did no sh*t during his whole designing expierence, says that illustrations are only vector images".
Man if you will say that you return the money, i can buy you some books that will clear you the fact " ILLUSTRATIon is no way ONLY a VECTOR image".

Bio who never read any book about design, seems to think he knows much. Well boy you mistaken, same as you mistaken in the fact that you developed the gray style designs and that M$ is slowly reaching this level. Laugh all i can do now.
Adobe Illustrator is not a program that creates illustrations. Illustrator creates vector images, they are VECTOR IMAGES. You can call them illustrations if you want because they can be thought of as images and image = illustration.
illustration - artwork that helps make something clear or attractive. OR A picture designed to decorate a volume or elucidate a literary work.

RedD - i was under the impression this topic began because YOU said the images above were done in ILLUSTRATOR. Dont change your mind now. Illustration is an image. Adobe Illustrator is VECTOR. Doesnt take a genious to know that.

I guess we both confused and talk about different things without trying to listen to each other. THIs is called misunderstanding, but since MSN dotn keep the historyand we cant prove anything i guess we shoudl close this funny post :)

I know exactly what bio is on about.
OK theses are technically illustrations. But that’s very broad. From theses you showed to little hand drawings in a 1980's children’s fiction story book are Illustrations. However as far as I understood it is, (today with the internet, and all different areas of art etc), all broken down in to many sub categories. The fact is if someone asked me what this is. I'd answer "a very nice digital painting". Same as if I saw a nice pixel art piece for Computer Arts magazine. If I was asked I’d say "some sweet iso pixel scene", not "an illustration”. Its to broad and obvious. So hard to explain exactly what I mean. But I know what I’m on about.
An illustration is art, but not always art (such as a painting) is an illustration right? I guess its the purpose which determines wheather or not it is or isnt... And more importantly, not everything done in Adobe Illustrator is an illustration, logo, typeface etc ;)
So I wouldn’t say either one of you is right or wrong. OK, they are illustrations because he was commissioned to do it. But saying it is a digital painting is more logical and the expected answer from anyone who knows anything about digital art, graphics etc.

It doesnt matter if i used a pen, drawn a character and then painted it in painter or i opened a Corel or Illustrator and did same pic in it. Illustration mostly have some hidden meaning, mostly it is what a person or client want to say in one pic, their feelings and etc. Sometimes illustrations are humorous also, sometimes they just illustrate an object.
Mine opinion : if a desinger was trying to do an illustration it doesnt matter if it was drawn it by hand, or painted on the wall, or drawn in painter.
Do u really care about all this?
