lemme go off topic again a sec..plz. =D SE...the xm109 is a barrett with 25mm rounds (grenade size shells) and is not the same as the barrett .50 which uses obviously, .50 rounds.
Just to give you a perspective on their differences:
25mm rounds: (used by the xm109)
this round is also used by many vehicle based weapons
One example is the M2 Bradley...its main cannon uses 25mm rounds
this round is also used by aircraft such as the AC130U gunship
the .50
two well known guns use this round, the m82 that u referred to, and the M2HB that is mouted on some vehicles

well.. i only know that there is a barrett in DF2.. and eehmm.. ythat i can shoot people from 1.5 kilometer.. ;).. so if i lie on a hilltop i can shoot the ff's in the tower ;) aint that perfect ;)..
