A logo I produced for a water storage system. The product is currently in production. The logo will be embossed in to the plastic as well as appearing on the packaging and various garden related leaflets/catalogues. Created in Macromedia Freehand.

Now it looks very nice. But without background I think right part will be more heavy than the left part.
Yeah, that crossed my mind also blaze, which is why I made the "mate" thicker. Thanks all for comments.
Dont you think its a bit too thick if you do a b/w print? Or maybe you can balance it by making that circle as thick as "mate"?
Possibly a little too thick, yes.
I think it looks pretty damn good as it is, the light to bold contrast generates alot of the interest in this logo and also helps draw your eye across it. Something that's overly balanced can look flat and boring, but it could also be used to portray a calming effect; depends what you want to acheive with it.
