hey people. I am a newb at 3D and i would like to know where exactly to start. I want to know the basics to the advanced levels. Does anybody know where I can get this kind of help. I wanna be good at 3D. So any ideas on how to get me started would be helpful and mostly appreicated.

however.. i dont tink its possible to start with the advanced stuff ;)..
if you are really sweet overhere and send bio alien money to get a faster host maybe sithlord of elf are willing to help you :D..
the tutorials at www.3dtotal.com and www.3dlinks.com range from the beginner to advanced, and professional difficulties... alot of tutorials can be usefull to you, specially in 3dtotal.com, where some tuts are complete run-dows of the whole program.
also, just fiddle with the buttons n stuff like that, i got to an experienced level that way, and started using tuts only for specific things for professional use.
it took me some time, but its a good feeling to get a hang of a hard proggy without any help...you should try that, you'll be more independant in your work and wont have to rely on other users' methods.
also, you can add me to your msn or wtvr if you want, and ask me anything you like =P
I'm busy these days, but i can spare enough time...
psst; sith, tell m about the donation to gfxdiary he has to make.. for help ;)
wat donation?!
wat donation?! oh @SE thanks for the site.
:D donation to gfx diary.. so the can get a faster host ;)
Donations?! No thanks ;)
Limitless - i suggest downloading a copy of 3dmax (www.discreet.com) and search for some tutorials on the internet to help you get started. Read on how to use the interface, and what each buttons does so you have a rough idea of how it works. From there its a matter of personal will, how good you want to be good at 3D.
About the hosting, our next target is a dedicated host and maybe we'll see some speed results by then - i have no plans to move this beast to another host for now. The new version of GfxDiary will increase speed by 75%
WHOOOHOO! :).. neat bio ;).. whith this version I just dont want to see the parsetime ;)..
sorry.. back ontopic :D
*draws a line*
