I know there are different fans of both of this things, some people hate WMP , some hate WinAmp. So what do you prefer?
I made my choose with WMP 9 , despite the fact it "eats" like 20 more DDR memory, it dont lagg at all with me :)
Winamp is WAY better
Winamp pro 5 is the best thing that can be installed in a pc
:) Well paying 15 $ for CD burning and CD riping, when you have same functions in WMP 9 for free? Dont seems like reasonable for me.
Since WMP 9 comes ready bundled with Windows i guess i'd go for that. I've used WinAMP and although i was impressed with it, it didnt have the one basic thing you'd expect from a big music player. Thats where MUSICMATCH comes in.
The ability to sort your music files in folder trees sorted by album/artist/genre rather than throw a huge endless expanded list making it harder to browse through your collection. Thats the reason i left WinAMP! Otherwise, it would have been the best piece of software EVER ;)
Usualy stick with WMP, but have recently been experimenting with iTunes.
Um, bioalien, winamp DOES sort the music files that way, in the Media Library.
Yea MusicMatch was good for me when i was testing it at my uncles sons pc.
Look D, Winamp even sorts your music in different patterens, like sorting by artist, album....
even gives you info and a small thumbnail on the artists at the bottom !!
i just dont have any band selected thats why nothing is showing up
I never been installing MediaLibrary when tryed winamp.
emm, all u do is right click anywhere on winamp and click on 'Media Library', then you tell it to load anything in the 'My music' folder or wherever your music files are
No Sith, i already tried all these options, i was talking about collapsable TREES (folders/subfolders) for the lists.

Can u see how powerful their library is? It puts u in full control. The above screenshot i've organised my list to be listed in Albums but sorted by Artists! I've collapsed a few of the albums so u can see what im talking about! Thats the sort of power i expected WinAMP to handle but was disappointed. As u can see, the list can be sorted in any different view types (Album/Artist/Genre...) and its sorted in folders so that each one is collapsed to save space to browse my collection. WinAMP cant handle the music i got man - i dont wanna be browsing an endless list of music files ;)
I suggested this feature to the person who built the Music Library addon for WinAMP but no luck!
