Hey guys, I was thinking...
What about a meeting? Like, a predev meeting, so we can get some brainstorming done, and get to know what we have to get done for the pre-developement face... Just to get people going with the project again.
BTW: I've been looking at the CS engine, and I can tell that we can look forward to some pretty neat terrain generation, and the maps can be made just as we like. In Q3, or HL, or games like that you have to use simple convex meshes to build your map from, not here, here we can do like UT2003/04 if we want to! So there will be alot of space for creativity here guys! ;) Now we just needs some mappers...

Anyway, if anyone is up for a real life meeting, I suggest London! seams like the most central place for all the team members...
And it's darn cheap for me to get there ;)

Under online meeting you mean some kind of a chat? There are some online microphone chats, that wil be cool, to hear everybodys voices.
IRC or MSN group convos would do the trick :idea:
Yea, lets keep it to that, for now, since we have to be able to keep a log of the convo, and people should be able to scroll back and read what was said before.
But I suggest that everyone gets skype if they have a mic, then we can actually talk to each other, will be good for the team, but this form of communication doesn't work for meetings.
btw,theres a new skype which alows conferences....be sure u get that

Yeah a meeting will be good, MSN will be the most ideal for me as I don't have a mic and I won't be able to get to London. Well I might, but it would be too much hassle. Plus I'm only 15 so unless I get the train to London it would be a bit hard getting there. But if the meeting is in London I will find a way to get there. But hey! What am I talking about? We've only just started talking about it. I've confused myself now :S.

Hating is one thing, but its optional whether you join in the chat or not. Obviously the majority of the team has MSN now so whoever decides not to participate in the meetings we will hold will loose out on vital info exchanged between the team. Me, ELF and SithLord are already in constant communication at the moment, trying to clarify some parts of the project, the script might get some minor alterations coming up! :idea:
Anyway back to the topic at hand :arrow:
I suggest mirc, your able to kick and ban people from the chat if things get out of hand. ^_^ then again, sith will kick me for fun cause he just looks like the type of person who would.
We shouldn't have to kick anyone... But we might still use IRC...
We'll find out as soon as Bio has made a usable script for the game ;)
We're not really ready for first meeting yet, there's still some technical things to get clear, and we need a complete script!!

ELF is taking care of the engine compilation and testing, 3d side of the projects - lets not start a fight here. :x
Damn bio it's coolz for me until he takes himself upon others. He's talking like he decided all the stuff here, what i really dont like. Every member is equal no matter what he is doing. Anyay maybe you did, but i havent seen any result of his work yet, also none of his tutorials can be seen here. I feel like him liking to talk and promise much stuff and not do things.

Everyone is not equal im a team project, as much as they would like to say so. Project leader has final say. Id be like hey ELF create a partical system that shows shiney sand fly out of people's nose when they get attacked in the foot and everyone agree's, all ELF has to do is say NO and thats final. If he dont want to make something he dont have to. simple as that. Sames goe's for anyone.
ELF, I propose a webchat. MSN is very vulnerable. Not sure if you know about it, but when you start XP msn like's to start automaticly, not the program itself then you get all these Message Box's while your on windows.
I don't like such topic RedD. People try their best and do everything they can for our project. If you even can't see his work it doesn't mean that he does nothing.
Retuning to the topic... maybe we'll meet in some chat f.e. evey .... in .... o'clock? I hate this msn cause I don't really know hows it working.

Work on the main window of the game is done on 35%. Hope I'll make it soon.
I just dont want to bring him down now, so i keep myself straight to topic. I suggest to createa poll where all team members can vote for one type of communications they prefer. The one which gets more votes, wil be choosen for the meeeting.

Now the meeting is propably not gonne be any time soon, since we first need some starting material... Like a complete script...
