im currently making a logo for my website in 3d:

i already finished the letters, made by splines and then the bevel modifier, the problem is, the circle around it. im trying to do this the same way as i did the letters, but then i dont get a nice circle, when i use the circle spline i cant make the hole in the middle, like in a roll of tape.

Use the donut spline shape.
You need both the inner and outer lineof the circle, and both should be from the same object, so the donut shape will give you that, since it's 2 circles.
Also, to make the holes, just add vertices at the corners of the holes, delete the segments betwin them, and draw the new segments with the create line tool, so the spline follows the contours of the circles.
Add me to your MSN, if you need more help with it.
