Yea people, it's true :(
I tried to recover my test files and tutorial doc file, but the recovery program spit out some really messy stuff, corrupted files and half images...
Seams like this one is not to be saved, and I have no time right now to make a new tutorial. I was missing betwin 1 and 3 pages... SOOOOO close....
Damn, this is getting nowhere, so I got a new idea... Instead of writing whole tutorials, I'll post some scene files, with different tests in, like lighting setups, particle FX, materials etc. with some notes zipped with it, and then people can ask questions on each scene here at the forum, how does that sound ppl?
I use 3ds max 6 service pack 1, so people might have to upgrade...
what exacly was the tut about?
Heh, it was about dirt and refelctions... Look at the poll thread further down the list...
sounds like a good idea. giving people the tools and encouraging them to work it out themselves is better than spoon-feeding them right down to the last drop. ;)
Just hurry up and release something i wanna see how good your tutorial writing is :P
haha elf i beat you to making a 3d max tut! lmao
Yea, I had to redraw because of "technical difficulties" ;)
But Bio, there won't be much tutorial writing then, but I can release more files, and it's quick to make a testfile, so it's not as big as chance for loosing as much work... If you understand...
People can request files too BTW! (Ya hear that Vince, you canhave your light-through-window-without-shadows-file ;) )
I hate this... 3 votes, is it even worth to try :(
But, Vince, you little møghoved, I'm gonna make you 2 scenes for that light-throuhg-window thing ;)
Not many votes cos people are tired of just voting for tuts. This is like the 3rd topic from you with a poll about a tut :P Just feed our egos - we're hungry!
