Which language do you think is the easiest?

Well? what's your answer? I've been studying Java at university. and let me tell you - I HATE IT! But i still had to learn it so i can "progress" to other languages such as the all important C and C++ which are my ultimate goal in order to aid me in the creation of the BioGame Project (more in the BioGame Forum). But the more i think about it the more i get confused. Java is quiet similar in some sense but still, Java and C programming are very unique so why do we study java then move on to C++ i dont know. i pitty the people who still use java applets on their sites. its under performing if u put it against other rival coding standards. i guess the only reason it did sooo well is because it was internet compatible (i could be wrong) but the web is changing quiet fast so i guess it wont stay for long eh?

i would like to know your views

Well I dont like coding java either. I guess its a good language as its very portable, but still...dont like it. The best language from my point of view is perl. Its easy, fast, and dirty. It can handle everything just fine. Its great. (under unix as well as windoze, altough in windoze VB (hehehehe) will do a pretty job at dirty apps as well)

Games..well lets just shout out C++ (and im not talkin VC here..eww)

hmm easiest language? how about we just allow scripting languages into the programming language section and give that award to HTML? ;)

hmmmm turing because this is the only one I know. I hate java too but it is easy to copy from the internet

that'd be javaSCRIPT :) you cant steal java since its a compiled applet.

but i like C++ more then java.
because java is far slower.
However, java has the advantage that you can integrate it easely into your site ( chatbox-applet etc...) and its a lot like javascript.

Thomas i've had a few requests asking if you can introduce yourself in the Introduction section. If you can head over there and step to the mic it would be helpful for other members

Moo is the easiest language, Moo Moo Moo, its really a language, but c++ or vb ;]

hehehe i remember reading it somewhere too. I was like, "moo"? What's up with the programmers of today's world? Back in the day, people used to have some complex names for given object (for example the elements table) and look at the simplicity of todays world.

Maybe we're all too lazy nowadays? Even when it comes to naming things? I'd hate to name my child "moo"

lols

The best one is (i think) C++, but if you want to take it easy, try doing something with C or C#...
Also you can start with Java and than upgrade to C++, cause those languages are very much like eachother... + their both cross platform which make them even more attractive..
