I know some of these have probably been mentioned before...
*What are the possabilities of users being able to attach files to posts ?
ie: screenshots, .txt examples etc.
*Is there any plan for an automated re-direct when users have submitted a post ?
Thanks for the suggestions, always good to have people tell us about their thoughts and possible improvements.
As far as the autmated re-direct after submitted posts, thats something we'll be adding soon, i was in the middle of fixing that one but now lost track of the bugs due to the host putting on an old backup which reintroduced some of the bugs we already fixed. But yeah, thats something that will be done rest assured!
As for the attachment feature, well i have doubts because of a security risk on phpbb powered forums. I rather wait for the new phpbb system to be officially released then we could possibly integrate it into the site by replacing this one. It has a few significant advances including attachment features.
Thomas is capable of wipping up an attachemnt environment for the site but he's got his hands busy at the moment so the only option is to wait and see when the phpbb team decides to release the goods.
I never knew there was an attachment bug. If thats a known fact. Im sure theres a quick fix for it allready and I doubt anyone here will abuse that exploit.
its not with the phpbb system alone, its the fact that too many GfxForum files will need to be changed and reintegrated into the GfxUnit backend system. Thomas is already rewriting the engine code and will have this sorted so that the forum can be a separate module as currently its interlinked badly due to the user database and the PM system. actually i shouldnt say badly but as always it can be improved ;)
