another odd bug or forum layout problem

See where the arrow is at top that says Show-Hide left blocks, we'll there is a right arrow but nothing on the right to hide or show =)

Thats not a bug, thats just an unused site preference. When there are three columns the user can choose to hide unwanted columns. However, the center column is the main site content and cannot be hidden. Some pages on GfxDiary allows the center box to expand and take over the right column. Therefore the right panel show/hide is rendered usless in this occasion.

Not a bug, nice try but NO!

layout problem, would reduce loading if you took it away =)

But its required for the main home page ?

You never know, some people dont like to be overwhelmed by content, if they like to read news then its a dream come true for them ;)

its 100 bytes large... ;)

100 bytes won't do much to the loading time... unless you have a really slow connection.

100 bytes would still do something and its java, java slower then html =)

its not java, actually- its javascript. theres a difference. Plus either way that script has to remain because the other panel depends on it too. stop having cheap attempts to flaw the site, and instead concentrate on larger or more useful errors.

Here i'll help you:
- the statistic link dosnt work on the forum index (returns same page)
- the jump box returns the same page
- theres no PM button on each post for easier PM contact with the poster
- some member's joined date says 1969, thats messed up!
- fix the html usage in posts
- there seem to be a few javascript errors when i click the post message in the Quick Post Box below.

I hope this teaches you how to report decent bugs, and frankly stop wasting our time cos we do have better things to do...

ah yeah i do get errors from the quick reply submit button. I told several people about this on other forums, but they blaimed me for having a corrupted IE, so i wasnt gonna mention this.

There should be no more JavaScript errors when using the Quick Reply feature.
Statistics link has also been fixed!
More bugs on their way to elimination :)

test

sim i got another bug for you:
- The User Ranks displayed above each avatar on the forum is messed up ;)

I think it happened when Thomas added the member flags in the location column.

I'll try fixing it, even though this is really Thomas's back garden! Thomas's code for this is way too advanced for me, its not for the average "alien"

How about this Bug

lol, looks like IE lags, how old is your PC?

yes its a iexplore bug, and its all cuz of the stupid dancing menu :@
lets kick it! 8), bio is the only one who wants to keep it :P

ok, if you guys hate it soo much i'll keep it "fixed" at the top of the site till i can work on the PIN to stop it or keep it flowing, or add options in the Profile page to let each member choose if they like it to move around or stay.

my comp isnt even 6months old, 2ghz

Why dont you take a poll and see if anyone actually uses that top menu. I dont but then again i only use the forums. and i submitted my forum to that gfx ring and never got a response ;[

Ok, that sounds like a good idea. Expect a poll at the end of this month that will decide the fate of our trademeark dancing menu!

sim regarding your site on GfxRing we havnt approved your site because when we checked it out the site was still under construction, and most sections didnt have the contents. I've checked it again and there seem to be some steps forward. At least you have a protfolio section added ;)

I'll go approve it now!

When i launched the site that portfolio was there.
