im planning to buy a digital camera in march, first is was thinking about the olympus C-450. but after searching a bit longer i found that the Minolta Dimage S414 has the same price then the olympus and some better options.
do you think the minolta is a good choice (good choice compared to the other cams out there in this price range)
Im not sure, after looking at the stats you put up, the Minolta has:
- less resolution
- half the digital zoom
- weighs almost double
On the other hand, it can record sound, and has higher optical zoom!
true, but the minolta:
- has more ISO settings, so it can make pictures in worse weather conditions.
- uses cheaper memory cards
- and like you said has more optical zoom
for the digital zoom keep in mind this can be done with photoshop also (cropping) :)
but actualy I ment is it a good cam if you compare it with other cams out there, not only the olympus ;)
I say go for it, im not too familiar with the latest cameras in that range but i do know FlashMemory is damn cheaper and afterall, thats whats important ;)
lol if i have it, maby i can make a normal sig from a macro picture ;)
