I was wondering if there's a script out there, that anyone knows of that displays an image, or perhaps a portion of text when a file is edited. Something like with the new messages on a forum, but when a file is edited. So my users could come to my site, look at this little script, and depending if I've added anything since their last visit it would either display or not display. Basically I want to know if there's a way I can have a "New" sign by links without me having to do it manually, and have it accurate for each specific user. Yeah, that's as clear as I can be.

Sorry Thomas, I sort of drifted away from my computer for awhile, and now that I've drifted back I don't have any use for the script... I'll keep it handy just in case though. Thank you very much.
lol Bio's probably drunk... I should be saying 'was' by this time. I've become nocturnal4the weekend. The more I read PHP scripts the more I seemingly don't want to learn it despite its usefulness and versatility(sp?) but I suppose you become fluent with it in time, I've been the same with almost any coded language up till now.
php has been irratating me lately. I feel like giving it up. sql made me mad, session's made me mad. cookie's make me mad since i cant write a cookie after i print html. Im sure theres some other things to.
PHP is damn powerful, thanks to Thomas im learning more and more everyday since im getting in contact with it regularly! But i dont think i'll ever be fluent at it! :?
