Well, firstly, we can modify this character if/when we need to. At the moment it was a gap in the scrip because he/she had no name - so this could well be a girl character :roll:
Secondly, what's worng with Boris? I think its funny :lol:
And, wtf, its only a character sketch - why would he look gay? Stop trying to visualise him like a real person - remember this is set in 1985! :x

Damn, you guys are taking this to a political road. Guys, relax, its a game character. Its supposed to be believable, a common russian name and a typical russian look. How do you make the character typical? You'd use items from that culture, ie, hat, coat, beard etc. Since most films and other games have already defined a "generalisation" or a "stereotype" of how russians are portraied in the game then we can just follow the same approach.
Look at games like "Medal of Honour" and "Soldier of Fortune" - they cross the boundary of political conflicts and all - yet notmany people are making a big fuss about it.
I want this subject to be droped. If you have something against the name "Boris" then you are free to suggest alternatives and then we'll choose from them. But the character looks WILL change as this is not a final concpet by all means.

RedDragon: This mainly goes for you and all the other russian members on the board. I understand the character sketch may make you feel uncomfortable being from the same country and all, but you wouldnt like it if someone said that about your artwork. Especially when you worked hard to come up with a concept you have no idea of. Vinc3 is not from russia so he's used russian "identifiers" to give his sketch more realism. Insulting the character almost has the same feeling/attitude/meaning as insulting the owner with those comments of yours (and all the others who posted those comments too). If you dont like someone's work dont come forward with such remarks next time until u can put them accross in a presentable manner. THINK BEFORE YOU POST!
