As you may have noticed, the header of GfxDiary has been reworked a little. The GfxDiary logo has been made visible and the slogan has been changed. The typeface has also been changed if you've noticed :)
The black menu on top of the header now displays the official GfxDiary link button, so if anyone out there wishes to spread the link, just right mouse click and save the logo. It already fits the 88x31 pixel button standards 8)
In a bid to take GfxDiary forward, it is now time to spread the site with mutual partners. Since its birth early 2002 GfxDiary has been slow in its growth. This is partly because the site has no affiliates, and the only way you members came across it is either through search engines or by luck from my portfolio on Biomutation.
With this new initiative, we hope to build on our reputation in the design scene and take a big step forward in terms of design activities and general activity around here :)
Thats it for me, thought its good to answer questions here before somebody randomly notices the changes around here :wink:

What kind of design activities will be now?
We are planning a series of design competitions and skinning contests. The winner will be given anything from FREE hosting, FREE domain name, FREE vBulletin license, FREE GD t-shirts.
This also includes FREE exposure on the homepage and a link to the winner's portfolio!
Weeee! Contest!!! FREE stuff! cool
And what about battles and art groups/clans, clanwars? It would be very interesting...
I'd also like to mention that every few months we will be gathering the best pieces of artwork by our members and offer it as part of an exclusive GfxDiary Art Group. This is to promote the user's artwork and help spread their name across the design scene.
With regards to battles, this is upto the users to engage in such activities. All we do is monitor and regulate the progress to make sure it stays smooth.
All exciting news and all good ideas I will be looking forward to.
