Hehe first time i looked at it (the first image) i wondered what that extra bit on the right was. then i realised its part of the hand. Dont you think there should be some connection? A string, or a light beam or something to join it up?
Just my opinion - but a great job for a 2 hours :o
Not even a thin light beam/pulse to connect? What if one arm moves in the orbital space of another's arm? Wouldnt magnetics get all messed up and suddenly you have players with 3 arms?
no, it wont, the hands are all bone-rigged just like any other 3d character that is meant for animation, thus no hand will get lost, even with a zillion eggheads on scene. The light beam would make things gay and anime style, and im not looking for compromises because this look is what i was aiming for in the first place.
:o look at those two tiny cute guns. Are they like the men in black small guns but do great damage ;)
Its looking good, i like the way its evolving. Those colours and lighting. Keep it up. Maybe a small animation? But the problem is.. where to host it?
bio....hmmm... how to tell you this in a civil way...well...
those two 'cute guns' are actually a laser designator and a flashlight that are attached via picantinni rail on the rifles above... both have them on, on either side
ROFL Bio, you are a such funny guy. I didn’t know what you were going on about at first. But omg, those two are just so cute. I want one! :D Looking really good btw Sith, keep it up.
no it was made for the portfolio, and i sent it, his arm is down, not seen in this pic
some people think the job is janitorial buisness, but after a few months at the ubisoft institute, im a fully fledged 3d modeler/animator/level designer
too bad someone here is just too jealous, and is spamming gfxdiary, trying to convince....someone, i donno, otherwise. I dunno if anyone actually reads what he writes, i mean i asked them and they all said this guy was wasting his breath cose he is meaningless..eh well, i feel sorry
Sith, that portfolio better be of awesome quality. Select your pieces carefully, if you dont go far with UbiSoft or any other company I will personally woop you down :x
Haha – I love it, effectively stylised and somewhat symbolic. Good job man!

nah imma keep the arms void, maybe add pads, but all the detail floating around would make it even more disconcerting.

Just me in take on the subject

He-he-he! :) VERY nice! Maybe you'll make some TV show "SWATties" :)
Egg Heads - spot on. Thanks for the explanation and the screens ;)
hehe cool :P
let us se some more :D
the m4 isnt detailed because of existing polycount, and it will be used by eggheads in the background only so no big deal.

Ooh thats not fun. You make a childish concept and yet you fail to include the small but deadly additions? Not cool on your behalf ;)
Note: i knew they were addons to the guns - of course i knew!

Portfolio... just stills or a reel? or what?
stills in a ghetto powerpoint presentation + a section for animations of various things, like a 3d aimated logo shit or wtvr for ubi.
I can't see the first few images but from what I can see in the last few, nice job dude. Keep it up.
Edit:
Hmmm... didn't see this second page...
Anyway, sounds like a kickass portfolio you've got. Go kick some Ubisoft ass!
