Lets be realistic people the GfxDiary is dead, lets say it stands on my and Bio's arms, since we are the only 2 to post something, even offtopic crap :? So wats going on ? The answer is unknown and GD needs a fine solution for this problem ...
Elf and Jono are working on the BioGame beta.. which is what GfxDiary turned into since Noxcel left the team and we never really launched our "magazine" ;)
I've been so involved with my studies (last year of uni) and getting FS up and running. I barely have the time to promote GfxDiary nowadays.
I wanted to post this last week but i didnt wanna put a tear on some people's eyes. GD has been running for years, but whats important is on this place i came accross and "grew up with" some of the best friends here. You guys all know who you are :)
I think its about time i affiliated GfxDiary with the other sites so that it can spread on the net. Nobody knows about this place unless they come through search engines or Biomutation!
Well the main reason I come to this place is because of its small member base (active member). It has a more…personal feel to it than other large forums - A place where everyone knows your name. Like your nice little, friendly, local bar as opposed to huge, heaving, nightclubs (CGTalk, Sijun, Renderosity, ConceptArt etc). I go to both! :D
But this place could definitely do with an injection of active members, so yeah; I’d love to see it being affiliated and word spread about some.
Im still working on that - but first I need to fix the FireFox compatiblity before they get the wrong impression ;)
From an admin point of view? I love to read small number of relevant posts everyday than bombarded with 500+ it makes my job easier :)

I live on campus at uni and im too lazy to even attend lectures :? its becoming a major issue. My excuse is that im working on my final year project (GfxRing). Its coming along very nice, expect to see it soon in action.
Well don’t overwork yourself Bio :P …and don’t skip your lectures! Looking forward to seeing GfxRing in action.

Heheh you know what... RedD may be right ;) Originally FS was my university project. But I learnt some shocking news that the university gets to keep it and claim ownership of it :shock:
So I quickly had to work on an alternative, something good but not by any means remarkable. And if the uni tries to claim ownership of it, then I'll simply make the project Open Source and release it under the GNU license for everyone to enjoy for free :)

- User Control Panel
- Stats (top 10 sites and 10 newest sites)
- Any site that doesnt send 1 hit in 7 days will be deactivated
That way GfxRing stays active, no broken links and no cheaters who sing up and dont place the code. And as you've noticed - this will make it automated so I dont have to look after it ;)
Damn I love laziness - it sure makes me create good concepts!
Knowing mine fellow hacker friends i should admit, the more automated the process, the more easy it is for a hacker to break throught.
BTW Bio mind if i will try to play with your forum ? :) Just learning, but still ....
If you're referring to the recent phpBB exploits which are documented all over the web I can assure you now, dont waste your time. This board is already patched up. Also, this is not your "ordinary" phpBB forum - its our built in CORE using the phpBB engine from 2003 instead of the nuke engine from 2004 :D
Automated system "can" be more easier for hackers as there is nobody to look after the system and thus nobody knows if it has been hacked or not. Otherwise, its the same as normal systems. Fact is, nobody can stop a determined hacker. All you need is the right tools, the right people and the right cash reserve.
The practise shows, that self built systems are less effective. Well anyway i didnt want to use those everybody known exploits, we are currently researching other ones. :)
The GfxRing sounds really good, I love that automated kinking people out - great. Don’t go lazy on us bio. :P
